Spanish international squads

Vicente Del Bosque named a 25 man squad today for the upcoming friendly games against Italy and Romania. As expected, Athletic Bilbao’s 35 year old striker Aduríz was recalled after a six year absence, and there was a first cap for Barcelona’s Sergi Roberto. Cazorla, Iniesta and Diego Costa were all left out due to injuries, but San José and David Silva returned to the squad after missing out last time around for varying reasons. Under 21 manager Albert Celades also named his squad for the European qualifier against Croatia and subsequent friendly against Norway, with first international call ups for Aritz Elustondo (Real Sociedad) and Pablo Fornals (Málaga). PS. Sergio Busquets has left the squad after doctors confirmed that he was suffering from a broken hand.

Forwards: Munir (Barcelona), Deulofeu (Everton), Santi Mina (Valencia).

PS Adrián Marín (Villarreal) has been promoted from the under 19 squad and Carlos Castro (Sporting) and Alfonso Pedraza (Villarreal) have also been drafted in to replace Gayà, Denis Suárez and Samu Castillejo, who all picked up injuries at the weekend.
