Spain have made it through to this year’s final after coming from behind to beat Germany 2-1! Santi Denía’s side found themselves trailing when Dadashev finished off a quickly taken set-piece free kick, and Peña had to save from Havertz and Akkaynak later in the first half. However Abel Ruíz, Fran García, Busquets and Brahim all went close either side of half time, and some ten minutes in to the second half Spain were awarded a penalty when Hanraths handled in the area. Mboula hit the woodwork with his spot kick, but soon afterwards Brahim set up Ruíz for the equalizer, and with extra time looming Brahim got the winner after Bartels could only push out a shot from Ruíz. A couple of minutes later Bartels was sent off for bringing down Mboula outside of the area, and Spain were through to meet Portugal in next Saturday’s final, looking to win it for a record ninth time.
