Celta are the only remaining Liga side in the Europa League this year, and they take a slight advantage in to next week’s return match after a 2-1 victory over FC Krasnodar on Thursday evening. The Galicians had by far the better of the first half, but they were unable to find a way past Kritsyuk, the keeper saving from Cabral, Guidetti, Wass and Aspas, and Guidetti and Sisto missing the target. Soon after the restart Wass opened the scoring with a long free kick, but Claessen levelled it for the Russian side five minutes later, and it was not until the last minute of normal time that substitute Beauvue headed the winner from Hugo Mallo’s cross.
