Sevilla are looking good for a place in the Champions League after a 1-2 victory at Istanbul Basaksehirin the first leg of the play-off round. Escudero fired Berizzo’s side in front early on, and Babacan had to be at his best to save from Banega and Correa before the break. Sergio Rico had to keep out Visca and Adebayor after the interval however, and some twenty minutes in to the second half a long shot from Elia skidded off the wet pitch under the legs of the keeper. With six minutes to go though Ben Yedder connected with a centre from substitute Jesús Navas to restore the lead, and Rico tipped a last minute effort from Napoleoni over the bar to ensure a win for the Andalusians.
