Defending champions Real Madrid clocked up their second group win after they beat Borussia Dortmund 1-3 on Tuesday evening. Sergio Ramos was lucky to be let off an early penalty appeal for hands, but a few minutes later Gareth Bale volleyed in the opener after Dani Carvajal set him up. Soon after the restart Bale crossed in for Ronaldo to make it two, and although Aubameyang got one back, Ronaldo ran on to Modric’s through ball to fire home his second of the night. Madrid end the day joint leaders with Tottenham, who have an identical record after the first two rounds of fixtures.
