Sevilla drop to third in their group after they were surprisingly beaten 5-1 by Spartak Moscow on Tuesday. Promes headed the Russian side in to the lead early on, but Kjaer equalised following a Banega corner, and for a while it looked like the Andalusians might go ahead, Selikhov having to save from Krohn-Dehli and Ben Yedder either side of half time, and Ben Yedder having an effort cleared off the line by a defender. Substitute Melgarejo restored the lead though soon afterwards, and Glushkov, Luiz Adriano and Promes added three more to leave Berizzo’s team out of the qualifying spots.
