Barcelona cruised through to their eleventh consecutive appearance in the Champions League quarter finals after a 3-0 victory over Chelsea on Wednesday. With only three minutes on the clock Messi opened the scoring with an angled shot through the legs of Courtois, and a quarter of an hour or so later he passed across for Dembélé to score his first goal for the Catalans. Marcos Alonso hit the post at the other end with a free kick, but some twenty minutes in to the second half Messi connected with Luis Suárez for the third, again with a shot through the legs of the keeper, and Messi and Paulinho could have added to the scoreline before Rüdiger headed against the bar in the final minute.
