Real Madrid are on track their third Champions League title in a row after a 1-2 victory at Bayern Munich in the first leg of their semi-final! Zidane’s side went behind when Kimmich ran through to beat Keylor Navas with just under half an hour gone, and Ribéry and Lewandowski could both have added to the lead after that. With half time approaching however Marcelo volleyed home the equaliser, and a few minutes after the restart half-time substitute Marco Asensio scored a second after combining with Lucas Vázquez on a quick breakaway. Navas had to keep out Ribéry a couple of times after that, and Müller and Lewandowski both failed to convert chances, but Ronaldo had a strike ruled out for hand ball, and Benzema brought a good save out of Ulreich near the end. Madrid must now be favourites, although, after the scare with Juventus in the last round, they will not be taking anything for granted.
