Real Madrid are through to the Club World Cup Final once again after they beat Al Jazira 1-2 in the semi-final in Abu Dhabi. Zidane’s side found themselves behind though when Romarinho beat Keylor Navas shortly before the break, and the local team could have had a second right after the break had Boussoufa not strayed offside in the last second. Otherwise however Madrid were well on top, Casemiro having a goal ruled out by the VAR system and keeper Ali Khaseif making a string of saves before going off injured, and some ten minutes in to the second half Modric put Ronaldo through to level the scores. It was not until ten minutes from the end though that substitute Bale got the winner with his first touch of the ball to take the defending champions through to a meeting with Gremio on Saturday.
