Match round-up - Second Division A, Day 17

Lugo moved up level with leaders Huesca after they beat Cultural Leonesa 3-1 on Sunday, Mario Barco scoring two and Iriome getting one in between before Ariday got a last minute consolation for the visitos. Rayo Vallecano stay in the top six after a 2-2 draw at Córdoba, but Oviedo are now level with them on points after a 1-0 win against Osasuna. Tenerife are up to eighth after a 3-0 victory over Reus in the last match of the evening, and Nàstic move away from the danger zone after a 2-1 win against joint bottom side Sevilla Atlético. Huesca stay top of the table despite being held to a 1-1 draw at Alcorcón on Saturday, Both goals came early on, Alvaro Peña putting the locals in front before Avila equalised. The Aragón based team are now only a point ahead of Cádiz though after the Andalusians won 0-2 at Zaragoza (who had Verdasca and Cristian Alvarez sent off), Alvaro and Romera getting the goals to make it six victories in a row for the Andalusians. Numancia are still a point behind Cádiz after they beat Lorca 1-0 thanks to a strike by Guillermo, and Valladolid lost ground on the teams above them after they lost 2-1 at Albacete, a Gaffoor own goal coming too late to overturn a brace from Zozulya. Two second division games exceptionally on Friday evening, Granada moving up to second spot pending the rest of the weekend fixtures after a 3-2 win over regional neighbours Almería. Goals either side of half time by Víctor Diaz and Machís put the locals two up, but Alcaraz and Morcillo appeared to have saved a draw before Pedro struck the winner in injury time. Sporting Gijón drop further away from the play-off spots however after they lost 2-1 at Barcelona B, Aleñá and José Arnáiz giving the locals the lead at the break, and Alex Pérez heading one back soon after the restart.
