Athletic Bilbao will be joining Villarreal and Real Sociedad in tomorrow’s league stage draw after a 1-0 victory over Panathinaikos in the San Mamés stadium. The Basque side were already 2-3 up from last week’s first leg, and Aduríz headed against the bar before combining with Susaeta to set up Muniain to open the scoring midway through the first half. Chavez hit the post at the other end before the break, and ex Leganés striker Luciano Neves went close a couple of times after the restart, but Aduríz, Susaeta and Córdoba could all have added to the lead in the second half.
