Two strikes in the first ten minutes by got the Basque team off to a good start, Diego Llorente getting the first after Hansen could only push out a long shot from Illarramendi, and Zurutuza the second with a header from Xabi Prieto’s centre. Later in the first half the visiting keeper had to save a Canales free kick, and with half time approaching Skjelvik put through his own net trying to clear another cross from Prieto.
