Villarreal were held to a 2-2 by Slavia Prague on Thursday, the result leaving both teams level on five points at the top of their group. The Czechs went two up early on, Necid heading the opener from Sobol’s cross, and Danny firing home the second after Sykora laid the ball back to him. Five minutes before the interval however Trigueros got one back after Fornals put him through, and just three minutes later Bacca made it all square after controlling a long centre from Bonera. After the restart Fornals had two efforts cleared off the line, and Lastuvka saved from Bakambu and Bacca, but in the end the locals had to settle for a point which keeps them in top spot thanks to a slightly better goal difference than their opponents.
