Athletic Bilbao kept their hopes of qualifying alive with a 1-0 victory over leaders Östersunds, the result taking them to third, just two points below the Swedish side in what is now a very tight group. Ziganda’s team were on top throughout, but once again they found it hard to finish off their moves, Keita saving from Williams and Aduríz before the break, and Raúl García missing a couple of chances after the restart. With twenty minutes to go though Aduríz finally made the breakthrough, heading past the visiting keeper after Raúl García’s shot came back off the bar, and although Unai Ñunez was sent off, Athletic held on for a much needed win.
