Athletic Bilbao are out of the Europa League after they lost 1-2 to Olympique Marseille on Thursday evening. Any hopes of overturning the 3-1 first leg scoreline were scotched by a Payet penalty and a strike by Ocampos either side of the interval, and although Williams got one back later on, it was another disappointing performance by the Basque team, typified by a late red card for Aduríz.
