No goals at the Romareda stadium, where Zaragoza and Hércules drew 0-0. The stars of the match were the two keepers, Calatayud in particular pushing an early Bertolo header on to the post and then doing well to keep out a Sinama-Pongolle free kick. Leo Franco responded with saves from Tote before the break and Trézéguet and Drenthe after the restart, and Jarosik rattled the crossbar with a long shot. The locals could have won it in the end, Marco Pérez failing to convert two good chances in the dying minutes. However they had to make do with a point, and José Aurelio Gay's side drop to the bottom of the table for the first time in eighth years after results elsewhere went against them.
