Zaragoza started the day in the relegation spots, but a 1-2 win at the already safe Levante took them well clear in the end. Some 11,000 visiting fans swelled the crowd, and the Maños dominated the game for most of the 90 minutes. Boutahar and Uche both had goals disallowed for offside, and Munúa had to make first class saves from Lafita and Ander before Gabi finally beat him with a free kick shortly before half time. Uche headed against the bar after the interval and Gabi scored a second with an impressive shot a few minutes later, and it seemed to be all over. However Stuani headed in a Xavi Torres free kick to close the gap, and there were some nervous moments before the fans could finally celebrate.
