Betis are up to fourth in the table after beating Getafe 2-4 in the Monday night game. Curiously all the goals came in the last half hour of the match, but before that Pedro León had gone close a couple of times prior to the interval, and Alvaro Vázquez had missed an easy chance after the restart. With his side short of ideas, Pepe Mel brought on Jorge Molina early on in the second half, and it couldn't have worked out better, the striker opening the scoring within minutes after Salva Sevilla and Rubén Castro combined to set him up. Diego Castro equalised ten minutes later after Paco Alcácer skilfully latched on to a long pass to turn the ball across goal, but Beñat restored the lead with an excellent free kick from wide on the left, and Rubén Castro ran on to another Sevilla assist to make it three just a couple of minutes later. With the game coming to a close Pedro León reduced the gap to one goal after Colunga put him through, but with Getafe keeper Moyà scrambling back from the opposing penalty box after going up for a last minute corner, the visitors broke away and Sevilla ran on to make it four.
