Celta edged further away from the drop zone after picking up a point in a 1-1 draw with Real Sociedad in the opening game on Saturday. The early chances fell to the Basque side, Javi Varas saving from Carlos Vela and Ifrán missing an open goal. However Augusto Fernández forced Bravo in to a good save at the other end, and with just over half an hour on the clock Krohn-Dehli ran on to a clever back-heel pass from Iago Aspas to open the scoring with an angled shot. Bravo had to tip another effort from the Danish midfielder over the bar before the break, but soon after the restart Fernández was sent off for a second bookable offence, and a few minutes later Elustondo headed the equaliser from Chory Castro's corner.
