Granada got off to a good start to the new campaign with a 1-2 victory at Osasuna. Both sides had chances before El-Arabi got on the end of Nyom's cross to open the scoring with ten minutes to go to the interval. Yebda headed a second from a Dani Benítez corner with the first half coming to a close, but Puñal got one back with just under an hour gone, beating Roberto with a shot from outside of the area after sisi's cross was only partly cleared. The Andalusians could have won by a bigger margin in the end though, Andrés saving Piti's penalty after Joan Oriol handled inside the area, and Roberto had to keep out a late Arribas header to ensure the three points for his side.
