Levante move up in to the top half of the table after a 1-0 win against Málaga in the last game on Sunday. Barral got the only goal in the twentieth minute, beating Willy Caballero with an angled header from an Ivanschitz corner, but otherwise the visitors had all the chances, with Camacho and Samuel going close before the break. Local keeper Keylor Navas had to save from Duda and Flavio in particular after the restart, Juanfran deflected a shot by Eliseu over the bar, Vyntra cleared off the line from Sergio Sánchez with the keeper beaten, and Santa Cruz, Eliseu, Camacho and Tissone all fired efforts just wide of the mark. Despite all that though Joaquín Caparrós’s side came away the victors, leaving their opponents just four points above the drop zone by the end of the weekend.
