Getafe are only just above the drop zone after they lost 2-0 to bottom club Betis, a result which could signal the end for coach Luis García after a twelfth game in a row without a win. Leo Baptistao opened the scoring with a header from a Salva Sevilla corner on the quarter hour mark, and Rubén Castro got the second later on the first half after picking up a long pass from N’Diaye and firing in a shot which took a slight deflection off Rafa to wrong-foot Codina, who was replacing the injured Moyà. After the interval Jordi Figueras had to clear off the line from Gavilán, and Adán made a reflex save from Lafita, but the locals could have increased their lead, first when Codina just got a hand to keep out N’Diaye, and then when Juanfran’s shot hit the crossbar.
