Almería and Real Sociedad drew 2-2 on Friday night to edge further away from the relegation zone, David Moyes’ side now four points clear of the bottom three pending the rest of the weekend games, and their hosts still a point below them in the table. Verza put the locals ahead from the penalty spot after Rulli pulled down Thievy in the area in the fifth minute, but Agirretxe headed the equalizer from a long Granero free kick with just under half an hour gone. Hemed restored the lead however following a good run by Thievy shortly before the break, and just three minutes after the restart Canales made it all square again after Chory Castro put him through. Both keepers were in action after that, Julián saving a long shot from Xabi Prieto and Rulli keeping out Hemed, but in the end both coaches settled for a point.
