Levante ended Saturday evening further adrift at the bottom of the table after they were beaten 2-1 by Deportivo in their Riazor stadium. The Galicians had gone thirteen games without a win, but with half time approaching Luis Alberto picked up a centre from Lucas Pérez and dummied past two defenders before firing a shot past Diego Mariño. Just five minutes after the interval though Rossi equalized after Verza put him through, leaving his marker for dead before beating Lux. Mariño had to be at his best to push a shot from Fajr round the post later in the second half, but with five minutes to go he could only parry a shot from Luis Alberto, and the rebound fell to Pérez whose volley came back off the post and rebounded into the net off the back of the keeper.
