Celta moved to within four points of Villarreal after beating Granada 2-1 in the Monday night game. Iago Aspas put the Galicians in front from the penalty spot after a clumsy kick by Biraghi on Guidetti on the quarter hour mark, However Babín headed a Rochina free kick against the bar later in the first half, and Rubén Blanco had to be at his best to keep out Peñaranda after the interval. With twenty minutes to go El-Arabi touched a Fran Rico shot on past the keeper to square the match, but soon afterwards Aspas combined with Orellana and Nolito to restore the lead. The defeat leaves the Andalusians just a point above the drop zone with three matches to go, and with Sevilla and Barcelona to come, they really need to beat Las Palmas next weekend to have any real chance of survival.
