Second Division B - play-offs, day 5

Cádiz and Sevilla Atlético are looking good for the two remaining promotion spots after both clocked up single goal victories in their first leg matches. Cádiz just missed out last season despite finishing top of their regional group, but this time they are taking the long route, and a 1-0 victory over Hércules put them on track for a return after six years in the wilderness. The Andalusians had the better chances throughout, Güiza and David Sánchez going close early on, and Salvi and Despotovic testing Chema after the restart. Chechu did put a couple of efforts wide at the other end, but the game appeared to be heading for a scoreless draw until Carlos Calvo beat the visiting keeper with a well struck free kick shortly before the final whistle.

Whatever happens, all four promotion spots will be shared between Regional Groups III (East) and IV (South), with Reus and UCAM Murcia already up, and Sevilla Atlético beating Lleida Esportiu 0-1 in the other play-off final. The only goal came midway through the first half, Diego González getting above the defence to head a long Ivi free kick past Crespo. Before the break José Antonio had to save from Albistegui and Molo, and Diego González cleared another shot off the line with the keeper beaten, but the youngsters held fast after the interval despite a continuous onslaught from the Catalans.
