Sevilla are up to second after they beat last week’s leaders Atlético Madrid 1-0 on Sunday evening, the defeat leaving Simeone’s team right down in fifth place. Both sides had chances before the break, Oblak saving a header from N’Zonzi, Rico keeping out his ex-team mate Gameiro, and Correa shooting wide. Soon after the restart Nasri hit the post with a shot from the edge of the area, and Oblak and Rico had to be on their toes to keep out Vitolo and Filipe Luis. The only goal though came from an innocuous throw-in with a quarter of an hour or so to go, Vietto lobbing a return pass over for N’Zonzi to run on and fire a shot past the Slovenian keeper. A few minutes later the visitors were left with ten men when Koke was shown a second yellow card for a hard tackle on Rami, and Atleti were beaten for the first time this season.
