Sporting Gijón stay down in the relegation spots after they drew 0-0 at bottom club Granada in the last match of Saturday evening. It was a tense game with very few chances, the only shot on target in the first half coming from Burgui, Ochoa having no problems keeping it out. Cuéllar did have to come out of his area to head clear from Bueno before the break, and after the restart the visiting keeper made the save of the night when Rubén Vezo headed on a long free kick. Later in the second half Ochoa had to save from Carlos Castro and Duje Cop, and with the game coming to an end Viguera and Cop both failed to react when a long free kick was headed across the area. A first clean sheet of the season at least for the Andalusians, but they remain firmly anchored to the foot of the table having only picked up three points all season.
