The play-offs for promotion from the second division began this week, with four teams vying for the one remaining spot in the top flight. Having finished third in the table, Getafe are the favourties for a quick return, and a 2-2 draw at Huesca on Wednesday evening in the first leg of their semi-final set them up for a place in the final. The Madrid based side will be ruing the fact though that they threw away a two goal lead, Jorge Molina opening the scoring from the penalty spot at the start of the second half after he was brought down by Jair, and then heading in a second a few minutes later from Portillo’s cross. Substitutes Vinicius and Camacho made it all square in the end however, the first with a low shot just seconds after coming on, and the second with a header in the fourth minute of injury time, to keep the locals in with a chance of a first ever season in the first division.
