Cádiz beat Tenerife 1-0 in the second semi-final on Thursday to take the advantage going in to Sunday’s second leg. The Andalusians were on top throughout, Aridane having a headed goal ruled out early on for what the referee considered to be a previous foul. Soon after the restart Dani Hernández had to tip a long shot by Alvaro García over the bar, and Salvi hit the post a few minutes later. Twenty minutes in to the second half Aketxe got what was to prove the only goal with a shot from outside of the area, and the Canary Islanders didn’t get near to Cifuentes’ goal until five minutes from the end, when Lozano fired a shot just wide of the post.
