Valencia are keeping pace with leaders Barcelona, and they stay four points behind Valverde’s team in second spot after a 1-2 victory at Alavés on Saturday lunchtime. Zaza fired the Chés into a first half lead, and although Alexis headed the equaliser from Munir’s corner after the restart, Rodrigo got the winner from the penalty spot after Ely handled in the area midway through the second half.
