Cádiz are the overnight leaders after they beat Barcelona B 3-1 on Friday evening. All the goals came after the break, Salvi opening the scoring and Ortolá saving an Alex penalty before Carrillo scored twice in as many minutes, the second from the penalty spot. Marc Cardona got a late consolation for the visitors. (15.12.17)


Numancia stay in sixth spot after a 2-2 draw at Osasuna on Saturday. Xiusco twice gave the locals the lead, but strikes by Mateu and Dani Nieto pegged them back both times. Granada stay a point behind Numancia after they drew 0-0 at Reus, and Valladolid closed to within six points of the play-off spots with a 3-0 win over Lorca, the goals coming from Borja, Matias and a Hervías penalty. Albacete and Zaragoza remain in mid-table after they drew 0-0, and Almería beat Córdoba 1-0 with a late goal from Motta to move two points clear of the drop zone and leave their regional rivals down at the bottom of the table. The top two met on Sunday afternoon, Huesca beating Lugo 3-0 to move clear art the top of the table. Melero opened the scoring from the penalty spot and Ferreiro added a second before the break, and Gallar converted a free kick after the restart to keep the Aragón based team a point ahead of Cádiz. Lugo drop to third, and Rayo Vallecano and Oviedo are now just a point below them, the former beating Alcorcón 2-1 with an injury time winner from Raúl de Tomás, and the latter winning 0-1 at Sevilla Atlético thanks to a first half free kick from Rocha. Sporting Gijón are back in the running for the play-off spots after a 3-0 victory over Tenerife, and further down the table Cultural Leonesa climbed out of the drop zone after a 2-0 victory over Nàstic, the result taking them a point above the Catalans in the rankings.
