Second Division B Clubs 2009/10

The second division groupings are subject to change, depending on ratification at the RFEF general meeting in mid-July and possible relegation for financial reasons. All clubs need to be up to date with payment to players and have met the other financial obligations laid down by the governing bodies by the end of July. (10.07.09)

The financial crisis has seriously hit the lower ranked sides, with no less than five relegated after failing to pay their players by the deadline. Ciudad Santiago, Fuerteventura, Mérida, Linares and Lorca all go down to the regional third, with Jerez Industrial, Moratalla, Montañeros, Tenerife B and Villanovense replacing them. Linares in fact are likely to wound up completely, as are the already relegated Granada 74 and San Fernando. Newly promoted Varea have also sold their spot to newly formed neighbours UD Logroñés, who hope to restore the prestige of the recently disappeared ex first division club CD Logroñés.

Teams relegated from the second division A are marked in red, sides promoted from the regional third division are marked in green, with the above changes in blue.
