After a long trip to play for Argentina this week, Leo Messi started on the bench on Saturday. Even so though he managed to make the most of the half an hour or so that he was on the park, converting a penalty and scoring a second in a 1-4 win at Getafe. David Villa also came on to score, and having notched up a penalty on his return to the Spanish side last week, he appears to be on his way to a full recovery! It was a high scoring weekend though, with 33 goals in all, seven of which came in Atlético Madrid's 4-3 win over neighbours Rayo Vallecano. A Falcao penalty put the locals four goals ahead, but two from Delibasic and another from Leo late on set up a thrilling finale. Aduríz is currently third in our table after scoring two in Athletic Bilbao's 3-3 draw at Espanyol, with Llorente netting less than a minute after coming on for his first minutes of the season, and Longo scoring for the locals and then getting himself sent off for celebrating! Hemed clocked up his fourth of the current campaign in Mallorca's 1-1 draw at Osasuna, and there were goals too for Rubén Castro, Nelson Oliveira and Feghouli, as well as for Adriano and Arda Turan.
