Just two red cards this weekend, both coming in the first game on Saturday between Valencia and Osasuna. Visiting defender Arribas was the first to go for pushing over Soldado as he advanced on goal on the hour mark, and his team-mate Timor followed him down the tunnel a quarter of an hour later for a second bookable offence. Both will be joined on the sidelines next week by six players who completed the five yellow card cycle, Diego Castro (Getafe), Weligton (Málaga) and Movilla (Zaragoza), all of whom picked up their tenth bookings of the season, and Nano (Osasuna), Jonas (Valencia) and Omar Ramos (Valladolid), who were all given their fifth. (08.05.13)

PS Sorry, we didn't pick up that Sapunaru had a yellow card and a one match ban cancelled on appeal a couple of weeks ago, but another booking this week meant that he will be banned next weekend.

PPS. Arribas was also let off his red card when the appeals committee met later in the week, and he will be able to play next weekend. (10.05.13)
