Three red cards this weekend, Feddal (Alavés), Wakaso (Granada) and Piccini (Betis) all getting their marching orders for second bookable offences in their respective games. All will have to sit out next weekend’s matches together with seven other players who completed the five yellow card cycle, Illarramendi (Real Sociedad), who was picked up his tenth booking of the season, and San José (Athletic), Fernando Navarro (Deportivo), Piatti (Espanyol), and Cuéllar, Nacho Cases and Duje Cop (all Sporting Gijón), who were all given their fifth. Notable absences in particular for the relegation battle between Sporting and Granada on Sunday! (14.03.17)

PS For the record, Deportivo’s Mosquera and Andone missed this weekend’s game against Barcelona after both were shown their fifth yellow cards of the season in Wednesday night’s rescheduled match against Betis.
