A double header this week, with league games midweek and at the weekend. (02.10.18)

Week 6. Things calmed down after the eight red cards at the weekend, and there were only two in the midweek games, Levante’s Vukcevic getting his marching orders for a second bookable offence at Valladolid, and Leganés assistant coach Ituarte seeing red for protesting.

Week 7. Another week without a red card, which must be something of a record. Villarreal’s Mario is the first player to reach the five yellow card threshold this season though, and he will have to serve out a one match ban next weekend.
