Once again a fairly quiet weekend on the refereeing front, and in fact for the first time this season there were no red cards at all! The only bad refereeing decision which came to our attention was that of González González, who failed to spot Valencia keeper Diego Alves handle the ball outside of his area after he came out to clear a dangerous Sevilla attack near the end of their game on Sunday. Whether Sevilla could have made anything out of it is anybody’s guess, but the match ended 0-0, and the Andalusians drop three points behind Atlético in the push for third place. (18.04.17)
