Another clean sheet for Casillas as Real Madrid wrapped up the league title in Bilbao, but as we said in our last report, with Víctor Valdés not expected to play again this season it is all in vain. Although San Iker can overtake the Barça keeper in our table if he doesn't let another goal in, he can never catch Valdés in the official ratings published by the sports paper Marca. Just to explain, their figures are based on the ratio between goals and games, which means that Valdés currently has a 0.76 score, whereas the best Casillas can achieve is 0.79 (obviously the lower the score the better). Don't worry though Iker, when the goal difference is level we award the keeper who has made most appearances, so (for what it's worth) you can still win something! We suppose though that the league title is a more important trophy than the "Soccer-Spain best keeper award" right now!

Otherwise there were three more clean sheets in the midweek round of games, which you will remember was one the one postponed from week 20 in January. Guaita helped Valencia to a 4-0 win over Osasuna which ensured them a Champions League place next season, and Aouate put in a good performance in Mallorca's 1-0 victory over Rayo which took them within striking range of the Europa League spots. And Zaragoza's Roberto managed his third clean sheet in four games against Levante to keep alive his team's hopes of survival. Just two more weekends to go, and there is still a lot to play for!
