The highest scoring weekend of the season to date, but six keepers still managed clean sheets, including Málaga's Willy Caballero, who has only let in two in the first six matches. Osasuna's Andrés and Getafe's Moyà got their first clean sheets of the season in victories over Levante and Mallorca, and Courtois returned from injury after handing over to Sergio Asenjo in the rescheduled midweek game at Betis to clock up his second. Zubikarai (Real Sociedad) and Guaita (Valencia) were both given their first run-outs of the current campaign, the former after Bravo broke his arm in training, and the latter in place of the off-form Diego Alves, and both kept their goals against columns to zero. Zubikarai in particular was thrown right in to the Basque derby, with Iraizoz returning in the Athletic goal after a brief injury lay-off, and there was one other goalkeeping debut as well, Betis third choice "portero" Adrián San Miguel coming on in the twelfth minute at Málaga after Casto was shown a red card.
