Five times "Zamora" Víctor Valdés has apparently confirmed that he will be leaving Barcelona this summer, in part to try pastures new, but (if rumours are true) in part because he needs the cash after some bad business investments! This year though he is way off the mark, and Pinto had to step in for him once again at Atlético Madrid after he picked up another injury. Atlético's Courtois is well on the way to being the heir to Valdés's tile despite letting in two against the new league champions, and some rumours place him as the successor to Valdés at the Nou Camp as well!

Meanwhile life goes on, and a low scoring weekend saw clean sheets for Keylor Navas (Levante), Roberto (Zaragoza), Jaime (Valladolid), Andrés (Osasuna), Guaita (Valencia), Adrián (Betis), Beto (Sevilla), and Kameni (Málaga), who has taken over from Willy Caballero as from half time in the rescheduled midweek match against Real Madrid after the Argentinian keeper turned an ankle keeping out a fierce penalty kick from Cristiano Ronaldo.
