Oblak has finally caught Sergio Asenjo after Atlético’s twentieth clean sheet of the season, and with the Villarreal keeper unable to complete the minimum 25 matches to qualify for the “Zamora” award due to injury, the Slovenian number one is all but mathematically sure of taking the prize for the second year in a row. Another five teams kept their goals against columns to zero as well as we approach the sharp end of the season, including Sporting (Cuéllar), Real Madrid (Kiko Casilla), Alavés (Pacheco), Málaga (Kameni) and Leganés (Herrerín). Casilla was back in the line-up again under Zidane’s rotation policy, and surprisingly this was their first clean sheet away from home in the league since mid-November. Pacheco also returned after being rested last weekend, and Valencia coach Voro gave a first run out of the season to Jaume Domenech, Diego Alves being given a well-earned break with his team safely in mid-table.
